#1 Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington
Hailed as “One of America’s Top 5 Tours” by USA Today and one of the “Top 10 Tours in the U.S.” by Trip Advisor, the Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington goes deep into the notoriously haunted houses and legendary burial grounds of this historic town. Listen to spooky tales from storytellers and professional ghost hunters. Guests can download free ghost hunting apps and take as many pictures as they like. Who knows? #2 Cape Fear Escape Room
Way better than any haunted house, WIlmington’s very first interactive escape room experience is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. You and your group will have 60 minutes to discover clues and find keys to escape the room together while keeping your mind on the task and avoiding the distractions that pop up all around you. #3 Haunted Pub Crawl
Even if you’re not one to believe in ghosts, the bartenders who work late into the night in old, lonely buildings downtown often tell eerie stories of odd appearances and misfit noises that can chill even the skeptics. Take this tour and enjoy a few drinks with your friends while listening to legendary pub tales of Old Wilmington. On the tour you’ll hear plenty of true stories, some funny and some spooky, while also discovering downtown Wilmington’s best local pubs. Unfortunately, tickets for Halloween night are sold out. But the event runs from now until December 26. Tickets are $17.50 + tax. Get them while they last!
#4 Trick or Treat Under the Sea
If you’re looking for an exciting and safe place to take the kids this weekend, look no further! The Trick or Treat Under the Sea at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher offers indoor trick-or-treating, spooky scuba divers, face painting, storytelling and a haunted garden walk. #5 Zombie Fest
On Halloween night, check out what all the buzz is about at the new Ironclad Brewery in downtown Wilmington. Costumes are highly encouraged! Enjoy great craft brews and listen to live music from The Madd Hatters, The Phantom Playboys, and Richmond, VA’s, Cashmere Jungle Lords. Cover charge is $15.
